Our club AGM saw Peter Shand awarded the 2024 Bruce Green cup for the most miles traveled riding a Norton. Peter has achieved this for 9 of the last 10 years primarily because he only has one bike ( a Norton obviously) on the road. Every year has Peter requesting someone (anyone, please!) to take up the challenge. Easy to take account of your mileage, just photograph your speedo @ new year and tot up the miles covered a year later.

Yorkshire and Nottingham Branches also fielded teams in what has become a hotly contested annual event. Yorkshire’s A Team of demon quizzers triumphed for the second year running and once again the Nottingham Ladies’ Team achieved a very creditable result.

A series of questions accompanied by picture sections and puzzles based on an audio broadcast excerpt from the Diamond Jubilee Senior TT in 1967, provided a series of challenges.

The evening’s special guest, competing with the East Yorks team, was Steve Webster MBE, ten times world sidecar champion. Steve, pictured here with the winners, was presented with an East Yorkshire NOC shirt”.

A very well attended event, we think we had at least 150plus bikes arrive! Some very nice machines to look at. We hope to repeat this event next year.
